HOMESCHOOL ENHANCEMENT PROGRAM

Learn More

In accordance with the mission of Heartland Christian School, HCS desires to partner with and be a resource for parents who have chosen to homeschool their children. HCS offers a broad selection of electives and core courses for homeschool families to compliment their homeschool curriculum. Students' participation in the homeschool program also enables them the opportunity to participate in many out of the classroom activities, clubs, and athletics at HCS.  With this in mind, students must be "onsite" when taking classes.

Registration Fee: $200 per student

Elementary Homeschool fee is $450 per student per year for specials classes.

Middle and High School Homeschool fee is $650 for one class period and $350 for a second class period. No more than two classes per year.

  • Enrollment in the Homeschool Program is contingent upon any required prerequisites.
  • Students must demonstrate the required abilities necessary for success in the respective class.
  • Core classes usually meet daily at the same time.
  • Students in the homeschool program must attend classes at the school.  There are currently no virtual classes available.
  • Middle and high school students taking a core course who want to participate in athletics may pay an additional fee per year to participate in all OHSAA sports.

Sports

  • Sports only is not an option according to OHSAA.
  • When participating in sports, the family will be required to show student academic progress every 4 1/2 weeks in accordance with school athletic policy to determine athletic eligibility during the season. Students must attend class to be involved in sports.
  • Sports participation cannot begin until the registration process is complete, registration payment is received, and all Sports Department requirements are met.
