Josh Scott

Basketball Coach

Family: Addie Scott - Wife (6 years), Son JJ (4 years old), Daughter Josie (3 years old), Parents Mike & Barb (Assistant Coach Pops) and my late brother Jake (1988-2007).

Education: 2002 Grad of West Branch High School, 2006 Grad of Mount Union College (Sport Management Major / Business Minor)

HS Sport Background: Football (QB), Basketball (PG), Baseball (SS) - 3 letters in each sport - 1st team All-Northeastern Buckeye Conference in baseball and basketball in 2002.

Coaching Background: Started coaching JH right out of HS at WB with the girls program in the 02-03 season. From 2002 until 2008, spent time at WB and Sebring coaching girls from JH to JV. In 2008-2009 got my first Head Coaching job at Western Reserve where Coach Pops and I spent 5 years together compiling a 79-34 record and appearing in a district final. In the 2013-2014 season I took over at Sebring with the boys program while also working as the Athletic Director for three season, then just coach in the fourth season. Over that time we were 46-45, had a district appearance at Struthers, and finished 3^rd in the state for team GPA during the final year there. The two years prior to coming to Heartland, Pops and I both went to Canfield with the girls program under Head Coach Matt Reel. Pops and I together have entered into this season with a total overall record of 136-91. 

Free time/Pets: Outside of coaching my favorite thing to do is spend time with my family. I also enjoy working outside on our garden and on our home. We have an 8 year old dog named Jack and two goats named Gordon and Gretel.

Girls Basketball Coach

Coach Scott Libb is the Head Girls Basketball Coach at Heartland Christian School. We are excited to see Coach Libb’s wealth of knowledge and experience in action as he leads the Lady Lions this season!

Family: Wife Chery Libb (15 yrs) Daughter Andrea Bouslough, Daughter Danielle Griffin, Son

Jase Libb, Daughter Sydney Libb and Son Jerin Libb, Grandchildren Halie, Hunter, Graham and

Libby.

Education: Graduate of United Local. Attended Malone University and Kent State University

and studied Secondary Education and Computer Technology.

HS Sport Background: Lettered in Basketball, Track and Tennis. All Conference, All

Columbiana County and All Area in Basketball.

Coaching Background: Started coaching boys at United Local at the junior high level for 2

years. I then moved on to Columbiana where I had my first opportunity to coach girls before

moving on to coach the West Branch Lady Warriors where I was part of the staff that won 9

sectional championships, 2 District Championships, 1 Regional Championship and State Final

Four appearance. Returned to United Local where I coached for 2 years and then joined Coach

Josh Scott’s staff at Heartland for the last 3 years.

Free Time: Outside of coaching, I enjoy spending time attending and helping with my children's

sporting activities, Harley rides with my wife, helping with the youth group at Winona Friends

Church, a little fishing and golfing.
