Jeff Geiss

Cross Country Coach

Jeff Geiss, head cross country coach, is married to Julie and they have four children Marissa, Samuel, Rebecca, and Jonathan. Together, they live on their family farm where Jeff spends his time farming, hunting, and fishing. Jeff is a 1998 graduate of Mount Union College with a BA in Elementary Education. He is a 2012 graduate of YSU with a MA in Educational Technology. Currently, he is a middle school teacher in his hometown of East Palestine,

Running has always been a passion of Jeff’s. While attending Mount Union College, he competed on the cross country and track and field teams. He earned two NCAA All American honors in cross country and was a member of the NCAA runner-up National Championship cross country team. In 2017, he was inducted into the Mount Union Athletic Hall of Fame and was inducted into the East Palestine Hall of Fame in 2020.

His faith is evident in his parenting and coaching. He seeks to use running as an outreach to lead young athletes to live Christ centered lives.
