John Bloor

Track Coach

John Bloor, varsity track coach, married 46 years to Melissa, 3 daughters, Teri, Erin, Katie and have 11 grandkids. Retired and living in the Guilford Lake area. Hobbies include lifting, bike riding, restoring cars for showing at car shows. I attended Leetonia High School where I participated in football, basketball and track and was a 4 year letterman. Also sophomore class president, national honor society and student council. Former record holder in 100 and 220 along with hall of fame honor for track and football. My senior year was division 2 Columbiana county champ in 100,220 while finishing 3rd in shot and 5th in discus. In football I gained all Ohio recognition in football my junior and senior years.


I attended various colleges with my last was H.B. Maynard in Pittsburgh to earn my certification as an industrial engineer. I’ve been active most of my life competing in playing football, basketball and track until hanging it up at the age of 50. I’m currently a basketball official for the last 33 years. Started coaching track in 1983 at South Range Middle School and spent my last 15 year at Crestview High School until 2012. I feel fortunate to be ask to coach Heartland this year and looking to build a good foundation for years to come
