HCS Athletics

Heartland welcomes Josh Scott as Athletic Director. Josh Scott will be our Athletic Director for the remainder of the 2021-2022 school year. Josh Scott is a 2002 graduate of West Branch High School and a 2006 graduate of Mount Union College. He graduated with a major in Sports Management and a minor in Business. Mr. Scott was a tri-sport athlete in high school and earned three letters each in football, basketball, and baseball. Mr. Scott has 21 years of coaching experience and worked as an Athletic Director for three years. We are excited to have him filling Heartland’s Athletic Director position and feel confident that with his experiences and passion, he will continue to lead and grow our athletic programs. Mr. Scott is not only focused on the success of our athletic programs, but more importantly, he is committed to helping our students thrive and use athletics as a teaching tool for our students to learn valuable life skills. Mr. Scott will continue to be our varsity boys’ basketball coach.

Welcome to Athletics Department of Heartland

Heartland Christian School’s Athletic Department works tirelessly to afford our student athletes the opportunity to compete in highly competitive and Christ honoring athletic programs, including 14 varsity sports. With three out of every four students participating, our athletes learn the values of teamwork and loyalty.

Heartland Christian athletes experience teaching and mentoring from godly coaches that instill Christ-centered values such as integrity, respect, honor, and responsibility, setting them up for success now and in the future on and off the field, track and court.
