Leo Club

The Heartland Leo Club is a branch of the Lions Club International and is supported by the New Waterford Lions Club.   Currently, the HCS association has a middle school students group, as well as a high school club. The Leo Club meets on the 1st and 3rd Mondays of each month during activity period. Their purpose is to allow students the opportunity to serve within their community, creating hearts of service and outreach.

A sampling of the projects arranged by the Leos include: coordinating clothing/shoe drives, conducting neighborhood outreaches, holding a Veteran’s Day program, crafting the Way Station thanksgiving dinner favors, holding parties at two area assisted living centers, planting flowers on the school property, and financially assisting the annual Heartland Service Day by coordinating a take-out chicken dinner each year.
