MINI-TERM
Mini-term is a week of the academic year during which the students have unique educational, missions or service opportunities outside of the regular classroom. Opportunities include the following:
  • Extended field trip of historical significance
  • Extended science field trip
  • Short-term missions opportunity including a cross-cultural experience
  • Community service projects
  • Wilderness backpacking trip
  • Photography adventures
  • Sports-related activities
  • Local study of financing and life learning skills

We take learning outside the four walls of the traditional classroom. Students might find themselves digitally capturing God’s creation while:
  • Exploring the Finger Lakes
  • Experiencing a big city like Chicago, New York or Toronto
  • Hiking the Appalachian Trail
  • Investigating the majestic wonders of Niagara Falls
  • Ministering at a Guatemalan orphanage
  • Serving families at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital
  • Studying history while visiting places such as Boston, Gettysburg, or Washington, D.C.
  • Volunteering at an inner-city Christian school
